Electric Wave

June 20th, 2009 by tommyf

A piece of music I created for a film adaptation of The Wave I was going to make with my friend Tom Black, before some Germans made a version using a lot more money than we did. Now potentially good for use as a Fortune’s Fall song.

Amateur Lovemaking Monthly

Amateur Lovemaking Monthly - that’s right, it’s MONTHLY!
I’ve wanted to start a zine for some time now, and I feel now the time is right. Well, it’s always been right. But now I’ve DONE IT. It’ll be a month til the next one, and another month til the one after that. That’s what monthly means.

This first edition is a healthy 28 pages long, and black and white - as God intended. It features two brand new awesome-o-pard stories as well as a host of characters you have never seen before and will never see again. It is almost impossibly weird.

Awkward Ballads for the Easily-Pleased - mp3 downloads!

June 9th, 2009 by tommyf

Awkward Ballads for the Easily-Pleased is my debut album. It’s so good that thousands of people across the world have bought it and love it, and The Metro, London’s biggest free newspaper keep telling people they’ve bought it without actually doing so, the cheeky buggers. Well just to make it easier for them (and you I suppose), here’s a page where you can download all the individual tunes, or the entire album, in mp3 format.

“It’s like iTunes, but not as good!™”

The links below will add the items to your SHOPPING CART. It’s like a real life one, but instead of wire and plastic and wheels, it’s made of zeros and ones. Click here to view it. After you’ve put all you want in your CART OF NUMBERS, you can check out with either a credit card through a secure connection that codes everything up so nobody can see your private numberdatacodes, or a paypal, which is generally much simpler.

Shallow Ocean

June 4th, 2009 by tommyf

mp3 downloads! On tommilsom.com! Finally, the key to music is in your hands! WILL YOU UNLOCK THE MAGIC?

This is an EP that I’ve been working on for the last two weeks. It’s called Shallow Ocean, the genre it slots nicely into is IDM (but if you’re not a genre nerd, ‘electronic’ will do fine), and there are four tracks to it, which are as follows (with each one linking to a short sample):

Offshore

Plateau

Trench

Reef

It concentrates on underwaterness, and as such, has a really muddy, bassy sound throughout. (in terms of EQ: lots of low frequencies, with highlights on the lower mids and pretty much no highs) I highly recommend turning up the bass, closing your eyes, and enjoying.

A Happy Medium

Strange
To think that poetry
Like you or I
Has not been here forever.

Verse seems timeless
Such is time lodged deep
Into its frame
Into its shape. But

There was that one
Time when somebody
Put pen to paper
Wrote the words; and

Thought to pause
Part-way across the paper.
